Job Summary

Penn State Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paramedic to join our Life Lion team in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing advanced life support care to patients in emergency situations, working closely with our team of emergency medical technicians, nurses, and physicians to deliver exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Administer advanced life support care to patients in emergency situations
  • Work collaboratively with emergency medical technicians, nurses, and physicians to deliver exceptional patient care
  • Provide critical care to patients during transportation to the hospital
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest medical procedures and technologies
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment
Requirements
  • Current certification as a Paramedic or PHRN in the Commonwealth of PA or eligible for and completion of reciprocity process, if certified in another state
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 30 days of start date
  • Valid Driver's license or eligible for a Commonwealth of PA driver's license if out of state
  • PA DOH EMSVO certification within 30 days of start date
  • HazMat Awareness Training and NIMS (100, 200, 700, 800) required within 30 days of start date
  • Must obtain Medical Command within 90 days of start date
