Core Responsibilities:

  • Innovate and formulate materials and thin films aimed at the passivation of power semiconductor devices.
  • Design and refine processes for the deposition of inter-level dielectric layers and passivation techniques.
  • Seamlessly integrate the newly developed materials and processes into the manufacturing workflow for power devices.
  • Investigate and apply cutting-edge passivation strategies, technical enhancements, and process modifications.
  • Assess the reliability and durability of devices utilizing the newly developed passivation solutions.
  • Determine equipment and capability necessities for new dielectric layers and deposition methodologies.
  • Collaborate effectively and cultivate strong cross-functional partnerships with Design, Process Integration, Process Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in thin dielectric layers utilized in power semiconductor devices for inter-level isolation and die passivation, including silicon nitride and polymers.
  • Familiarity with power semiconductor device architectures and high-voltage termination designs.
  • Expertise in thin film deposition and coating methodologies.
  • Understanding of electrical characterization and evaluation of power semiconductor devices.
  • Knowledge of reliability assessments for SiC MOSFETs, Si IGBTs, and Si Diodes under accelerated testing conditions.
  • Comprehension of degradation mechanisms affecting semiconductor power devices.
  • Over 10 years of experience in power semiconductor processes, including integration and device fabrication.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Adept at leveraging and reapplying best practices across diverse technologies.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including listening, explaining, understanding, negotiating, persuading, and summarizing results.
  • Ability to thrive in multinational, culturally diverse, and cross-functional teams.
  • Self-driven, accountable, and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Master's degree and/or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
