Job Summary

As a Commercial Insurance Producer at First Mid Bank & Trust, you will serve as a key relationship manager for FMIG, responsible for securing new business and retaining existing insurance clients. This role requires a strong understanding of insurance products and services, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure retention and growth of their insurance business.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through First Mid channels and other sources.
  • Meet with prospects to build relationships, gather underwriting information, and deliver proposals to win new business.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to meet the needs of current and prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with team members and carrier representatives to develop and implement effective insurance solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments to maintain expertise in insurance products and services.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Prior successful insurance sales experience and a valid Illinois driver's license.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify customer needs and develop effective insurance solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
