Job Summary

The Primary Therapist provides individual, group, and family therapy, crisis intervention services, psychoeducation presentations, and experiential learning groups for clients and their families in the PHP/IOP program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clinical services, including individual, group, and family therapy, crisis intervention, primary process groups, psychoeducation presentations, and experiential learning groups for clients and families.
  • Provide oversight of residential facilities to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
  • Offer clinical consultation for clients and their families, and referents upon request.
  • Develop and implement psychosocial assessments, treatment plans, and clinical discharge summaries.
  • Collaborate with the clinical case manager and family therapist to provide comprehensive client care.

Requirements:

  • Master's or Ph.D. in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field.
  • LPC, LCSW, or LMFT licensure, with clinical qualifications or intern status.
  • Three years of experience in social work or a related field.
  • Experience working with addictions and mental health.
  • Proficiency in various interventions, including DBT, CBT, Family Systems.
  • Understanding of addiction, mental illness, and related issues.
  • Knowledge of treatment models, recovery, relapse prevention, and continuing care for dually diagnosed populations.
  • Diagnostic criteria for dual conditions and ability to conceptualize modalities and placement criteria within the continuum of care.
  • Ability to work with diverse cultures and gender-specific issues.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including prioritization and independent work.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification required.
