Position Overview:
The Interventional Radiographer is responsible for performing angiographic procedures, including invasive vascular treatments and examinations, ensuring optimal image quality while managing a variety of technical and non-technical tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a range of interventional procedures, maintaining high standards of image quality.
- Accurately enter charges into the Radiology Information System (RIS) and ensure compliance with administrative policies.
- Participate in on-call duties as required.
- Adhere to Radiation Safety guidelines as per established policies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Completion of a Radiologic Technology or accredited Cardiovascular Technology program.
- Licensure/Certification: Registered Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). Candidates must complete ARRT certification within 90 days of employment. A valid state radiological license is required. CI or CV registry preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in diagnostic radiography, with preference for experience in angiography, cardiac catheterization, or surgical settings.
- Current CPR certification is mandatory.
