Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technician to join our team at Nitelines USA, Inc. As a Radiology Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine radiologic procedures, including X-rays and mammograms, for the inmate population at our institution. You will also be responsible for transmitting, retrieving, and scanning X-ray images and reports electronically, as well as receiving training to retrieve radiographic consults from our Bureau Electronic Medical Record (BEMR) system.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine radiologic procedures, including X-rays and mammograms, as ordered by the medical staff.
• Transmit, retrieve, and scan X-ray images and reports electronically.
• Receive training to retrieve radiographic consults from BEMR and schedule them to perform all radiographic procedures.
• Work with an inmate population from a variety of cultural, racial, religious, and ethnic backgrounds.
• Evaluate radiographic equipment for calibrations and repairs.
• Possess knowledge of basic emergency situations that may occur during special radiographic procedures.
• Schedule exams and maintain records.
• Possess knowledge of various pathological abnormalities as demonstrated by radiographic imaging.
• Independently assess and select technical exposure factors and positions necessary to obtain a proper quality diagnostic exam.
• Receive patients and explain procedures to alleviate undue anxiety.
• Independently perform all radiographic procedures, including chest, bone, skull, spine, and portable X-rays, etc.

Requirements:

• (ARRT) Fully licensed to perform radiological procedures by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist by the state of California, and possess diagnostic radiology, and mammographic radiologic technician credentials within the license.
• Must have at least one year of experience.
• Able to pass a background clearance.
• Hold a current Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certified, in accordance with the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Must provide evidentiary documentation of your graduation from an accredited school of radiology technology.
