At DICK'S SPORTING GOODS INC, we're passionate about empowering athletes to achieve their goals. As a Retail Sales Lead - Apparel, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving sales growth in our apparel department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager in executing brand standards and driving sales growth.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a customer-first approach and providing guidance to teammates on delivering exceptional service.
  • Plan, organize, and control daily assignments, game plans, and projects to ensure seamless execution and meet sales targets.
  • Strategically leverage teammates to ensure brand standards are met, programs are executed daily, and tasks are delegated based on priority.
  • Assist with training teammates on company procedures and programs, including onboarding new teammates and cross-training current teammates.
  • Maintain company loss prevention standards and controls in the department.
  • Prioritize coaching and developing oneself and others, providing hands-on coaching and teaching the 'why' behind tasks, plans, and processes.
  • Lead by example to support the vision of the organization and store, helping teammates understand how their responsibilities align to the common purpose and delivering an exceptional shopping experience.
  • Create an inclusive store environment where everyone feels welcome and safe, and is treated with respect.

Requirements
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Prior retail sales experience or customer-focused experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 15-35 lbs. items repetitively.
  • Ability to work extended periods of time standing or walking.
  • Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with use of a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time.
