Job Overview

As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for our customers. Your expertise in pharmacy operations will enable you to efficiently manage the pharmacy, ensuring accurate prescription dispensing and consultation.

Responsibilities
  • Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service, adhering to patient care standards.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians, graduate interns, and clerks, ensuring compliance with federal and state legislation, as well as store policies and procedures.
  • Fill prescriptions in compliance with laws, regulations, physician orders, and company policies and procedures.
  • Offer advice and professional consultation, adhering to state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Actively participate in clinical program offerings and respond to telephone requests from customers, physicians, and vendors.
  • Communicate and cooperate with peers, subordinates, managers, physicians, and customers in a professional manner.
  • Maintain all state and federal record keeping for controlled substances and supervise all pharmacy staff in accordance with Federal and State law.
  • Follow all laws and company procedures regarding Medicare, Medicaid, and other third-party insurance plans.
  • Responsible for HIPAA compliance and dispensing of over-the-counter drugs by law.
Requirements
  • Must have a college degree in Pharmacy (BS or PharmD).
  • Must pass the NAPLEX and State MPJE.
  • Must hold a valid state license.
  • Meets all requirements of and maintains status as a Certified Immunizer.
  • Must complete continuing education hours as required by law.
  • Must complete all required state, federal, and company training programs.
Work Environment

The duties for this position are normally conducted in a store environment. You will be responsible for maintaining customer service levels and handling multiple priorities. The position is occasionally exposed to dust, cleaning chemicals, and equipment movement hazards.
