Job Summary

Franciscan Health is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team in a Retail PRN role. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with pharmacy and hospital personnel to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws, as well as accepted and expected ethical and professional standards, while upholding the Franciscan Values.
  • Contribute to and implement a strategic fiscal plan, analyzing financial data and reports, and managing labor and drug expense to ensure profitability.
  • Maintain accurate records, including pharmacy files, patient profiles, charge system files, inventories, control records, or registries of poisons, narcotics, or controlled drugs.
  • Manage the disposition of controlled substances and other dangerous drugs in accordance with all state laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, drug-drug interactions, drug-food interactions, allergies, and appropriateness of drug and dose.
  • Participate in quality initiatives to drive continuous quality improvement of pharmacy operations.
  • Participate in the ongoing maintenance and delivery of clinical initiatives, including the Bedside Delivery Program.
  • Review prescriptions and medication orders, checking for appropriateness and providing information needed to properly and safely administer the medication.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
  • 1 year of experience in Specialty Pharmacy, Inpatient Pharmacy, or Retail Pharmacy
  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) certification
  • Registered Pharmacist (RPh) licensure in respective state
  • Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License
  • Certified Immunizing Pharmacist
  • Certificate in Medication Management Certification (MTM)
  • Certified Compounding Pharmacist
  • Certificate in Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist (BCACP)
  • Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS)
