Powers Health Pharmacy Technician Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Powers Health. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting our Pharmacists in filling prescriptions and ensuring the safe and efficient distribution of medications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Pharmacists in filling prescriptions and preparing medications for dispensing
  • Transcribe and enter physicians' orders into the computer system
  • Perform associated duties, including entering charges and maintaining accurate records
  • Work under the general supervision of a Staff Pharmacist and adhere to precise procedures
Requirements:
  • A High School Diploma is required
  • Previous experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy is preferred, with a minimum of 2 years of experience
  • Completion of a technician training course or eligibility to complete an in-house training program is required
  • State of Indiana licensure as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician in Training is required
