Responsibilities:

  • Gather comprehensive medical history and physical data on patients to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic plans.
  • Perform thorough physical exams, interpret patient data, and integrate findings to develop evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Consult with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests as needed.
  • Administer injections, immunizations, and oral medications as prescribed.
  • Perform procedures such as sharp debridement of wounds and application of skin grafts/substitutes.
  • Prepare and document written prescription orders for medication and controlled substances.
  • Provide education and guidance to patients on wound care, health practices, and illness prevention.

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as an NP.
  • Graduation from an accredited NP training program and certification by an accredited certification agency.
  • Current CPR certification.
