Position Summary: The Meeting Production Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and executing audiovisual systems for meetings and events. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of commercial AV systems and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of conference room AV technology and various virtual collaboration platforms, as well as a practical understanding of the challenges faced in hybrid meeting scenarios.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate initiative by independently identifying and addressing areas needing support.
- Utilize exceptional written and verbal communication skills to provide tailored solutions to client needs, adapting as necessary to present viable alternatives.
- Exhibit expertise in virtual meeting technologies, including webinars, with advanced troubleshooting capabilities while maintaining composure in a high-pressure government setting.
- Possess a thorough understanding of physical conference room systems, including AV racks, teleconference codecs, and related control systems.
- Oversee the planning and execution of meetings from pre-production to post-event evaluation, ensuring all deadlines are met.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a Technical Field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or 8 years of applicable experience in lieu of a degree.
- In-depth knowledge of AV conference room system operations and signal flow.
- Prior experience in a government setting is preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain public trust clearance.
- Audio Visual Technician certification (AVT) must be achieved within 90 days of employment.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Certification as a Certified Technical Specialist (CTS) is advantageous.
Physical Requirements:
- Capability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during the work shift.
- Utilization of carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other equipment for moving items as necessary.
