We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Technician 2 to join our team at Silfex. As a key member of our quality production group, you will be responsible for growing crystals and verifying product quality to meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply technical mathematics and measurement tools to perform crystal growing functions
  • Operate crystal puller to required specifications
  • Inspect finished parts for defects and enter quality data into ERP system
  • Perform cleaning tasks and ensure equipment is in proper working order
  • Assist in applying lean manufacturing concepts and 5S
Requirements
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in crystal growing
  • Ability to interpret instructions and communicate effectively with team members
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, and solve practical problems
Working Conditions

The employee will be regularly required to stand and use hands to handle or feel, and frequently required to reach with hands and arms, and walk up and down stairs. The employee will occasionally be required to lift up to 50 pounds, and will be exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, magnets, fumes or airborne particles, and hot heavy and large parts.
