About the Job

We are seeking a full-time Project Engineer in our Engineering Division to provide planning and design support as part of a project team for water, wastewater, and recycled water projects.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in water infrastructure-related civil engineering and be an EIT or professional engineer licensed in the State of California.

Responsibilities
  1. Performing hydraulic modeling and capacity analyses of pressure (water/recycled water) and open channel flow (sewer) systems using Innovyze (AutoDesk) and Aquanuity software packages.
  2. Supporting the planning and analysis of water, wastewater, and/or recycled water processes and facilities, including master plans, hydraulic modeling studies, capacity analysis, alternatives analysis, condition assessment, cost estimates, risk evaluation, operations and maintenance assessments, and other planning studies.
  3. Capability to work in the field, including inspections and field measurements, as necessary.
  4. Potential for limited travel within San Diego, Orange County, Riverside, San Bernardino, Los Angeles, Ventura, Imperial, and Santa Barbara counties.
  5. Technical document and graphics preparation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a similar discipline.
  • 3+ years of engineering experience in planning and design of water/wastewater-related projects.
  • EIT or Professional Civil Engineer licensed in the State of California.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft office (Word and Excel), have excellent writing, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with design software including ESRI ArcGIS/ArcGIS Pro and AutoCAD.
  • Experience with, or willingness to learn, hydraulic modeling software programs (predominantly Aquanuity AquaTwin Sewer, Innovyze InfoWater, InfoSewer, InfoSWMM, etc.).
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have active personal automobile liability insurance by first day of employment.
