$65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform concurrent and retrospective reviews of documentation and coding.
  • Work with providers and staff to ensure the accuracy and completeness of medical record documentation and coding.
  • Provide training, education, and coaching as needed.
  • Audit medical records to assure compliance with applicable coding and documentation standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in concurrent clinical documentation improvement relative to HCC coding in the ambulatory setting.
  • Certified Risk Coder (CRC), Certified Professional Coder certification (CPC), Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA),Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Inpatient Coder(CIC),or Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) credential(s).
