Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Flight Paramedic to join our team of air transportation experts. As a Flight Paramedic, you will be responsible for safely transporting patients to and from medical facilities, as well as providing pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care.

Responsibilities:
  • Complete and submit electronic patient care records within the specified time frame
  • Perform daily base checks, including narcotic counts
  • Provide advanced life support care from initial contact to patient care relinquishment
  • Maintain thorough patient care documentation
  • Participate in ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences to maintain competency
  • Document required licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and advanced procedures
  • Knowledgeable in the use and routine maintenance of all equipment and supplies
  • Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public
  • Function as a medical flight member
  • Attend pre-mission briefings and mission debriefing, completing necessary documentation
  • Assist with pre-mission liftoff checklists and pilot assistance as needed
  • Comply with safety standards to ensure safety of self, medical personnel, patient, and equipment
  • Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed
  • Fulfill open or vacant shifts within assigned areas as deemed appropriate by the Regional Director
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of three years experience in an ALS or critical care setting required
  • Flight experience preferred
  • Ability to maintain a weight limit of 230lb with gear
  • Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area required
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status
  • Advanced Certification (FP-C) preferred, required within 12 months from date of hire
  • Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred
  • NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area
