We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Surgical Trauma Registered Nurse to join our team at St. David's South Austin Medical Center. As a Medical Surgical Trauma Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

About the Role

As a Medical Surgical Trauma Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing patients, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure seamless patient care. You will also have the opportunity to work with a variety of patients, including those with complex medical conditions, and provide education and support to patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients and develop individualized care plans
  • Implement and evaluate care plans, making adjustments as needed
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure seamless patient care
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families
  • Administer medications and complete treatments according to hospital policy
  • Delegate tasks to non-licensed staff as needed
Requirements
  • 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Experience in an acute care setting - preferred
  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - preferred
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
