We are seeking a skilled Medical Surgical Trauma Registered Nurse to join our team at St. David's South Austin Medical Center. As a member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement and evaluate care.
- Consult and collaborate with the care team to develop, evaluate, and revise care plans.
- Administer medications and complete treatments according to hospital policy.
- Delegate tasks to non-licensed staff in accordance with standards of practice.
- Provide pre- and post-operative patient care.
- Provide education to patients and families on care and treatments.
- Facilitate discharge plans in collaboration with the care team.
- 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
