Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Medical Office Assistant to join our team at Pioneer Physicians Network. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our physicians and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany physicians into patient exam rooms to transcribe medical histories and physical exams, and document accurately the physician's encounter with the patient and others present.
  • List all proper diagnoses under the assessment and document all symptoms, follow-up instructions, and prescriptions as dictated by the physician.
  • Transcribe orders for laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, or medications as ordered by the physician.
  • Document any procedures performed by the physician.
  • Apply human relation skills to establish a good rapport and maintain cooperative and collaborative relationships with patients, physicians, and coworkers.
  • Treat patients with courtesy at all times, making them feel comfortable during their visit.
  • Participate in daily huddles to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Collect pertinent patient medical information to assist physicians in the care of patients.
  • Apply medical knowledge to assist physicians in educating patients about their treatment and/or diagnosis by printing appropriate patient education from the EMR or patient resource binder.
  • Instruct patients regarding information needed once they leave the office, including providing them with appropriate education materials.
  • Participate in scheduled customer service training and computer training provided by Pioneer Physicians Network Administration.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Typing: 1 year of experience (Preferred)
  • Medical terminology: 1 year of experience (Preferred)
