">The gastroenterologists will have the opportunity to work at an endoscopy suite equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic technologies, along with anesthesia support. They will collaborate with colorectal, oncologic, and trauma surgeons, an interventional radiologist, pediatric gastroenterologists, GI pathologists, and an on-site infusion clinic.
">Teaching and Research Opportunities
">As part of the team, the gastroenterologist will have the opportunity to teach medical students, residents, and fellows. There is also the possibility for research and scholarly work, encouraged and supported commensurate with skills and accomplishments.
">Workload and Benefits
">The workload involves seeing patients about 80% of the time, with medical students, residents, and fellows at their side. The remaining 20% of the time is reserved for scholarship, classroom teaching, etc. The gastroenterologist will be supported by GI fellows during call, which is standard six weekends per year.
