Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney Opportunity

Quintairos, Prieto, Wood, & Boyer, P.A. is seeking a skilled Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney to join our team. As a member of our Workers' Compensation Practice Group, you will be responsible for:

  • Defending Workers' Compensation Claims
    • Reviewing and preparing summaries of medical records to effectively advocate for clients.
    • Drafting motions and attending hearings to represent clients in court.
    • Preparing clients for depositions and attending depositions as needed.
    • Drafting initial reports, interim reports, pre-trial reports, trials, and appellate activity.
    • Responding to discovery requests and drafting discovery-related motions.
    • Regularly attending court appearances to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
    • Taking and defending depositions of fact witnesses and expert witnesses.
  • Providing Comprehensive Legal Representation
    • Assisting a diverse range of clients, including employers, carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insureds, in the defense of workers' compensation actions.
  • Collaborating with the Team
    • Working closely with our team of experienced attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to provide exceptional service to our clients.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be admitted to practice in the State of North Carolina.
  • Possess analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex legal issues effectively.
  • Demonstrate excellent research abilities and strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Draft and respond to discovery-related motions.
  • Regularly attend court appearances.
  • Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses and expert witnesses.
  • Draft motions for summary judgments.
