Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Healthcare Staffing Professionals, Inc. is seeking experienced Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists to join our team in Chatsworth, CA. As a Psychiatrist with our organization, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric services in a clinical setting, working with diverse client populations of all ages.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct psychiatric assessments and treatment, including same-day walk-in clinic appointments as needed.
- Prescribe and manage medication, order laboratory tests, and evaluate test results via electronic health records.
- Consult with clinical staff and other service providers regarding patient care and referral for follow-up.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary treatment planning and document services provided as required.
- Refer clients to primary care and community service providers as needed, and authorize involuntary detention and transfer to hospitals as required.
- Perform urgent and emergent assessment, including risk assessment, de-escalation, and crisis intervention.
- Authorize and/or deny services as appropriate in the performance of utilization review.
- Physician and Surgeon license issued by the Medical Board of California.
- Certificate of completion of a psychiatric residency training program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or equivalent accrediting body.
- Board eligibility or certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc. (ABPN) in General Psychiatry or equivalent.
- Certificate of current Controlled Substance Registration issued by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
- Eligibility to participate in federally funded health care programs, as verified with the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) and the Medi-Cal suspended and ineligible list.
As a Psychiatrist with our organization, you will work in a clinical setting in Chatsworth, CA, with the opportunity to travel between sites at your own expense. You will be required to work for no less than 30 days and may be required to travel between sites at your own expense.
