Lead Pharmacy Operations Manager

Overview:
Scope of responsibilities in managing pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervises the daily functions of the Pharmacy department.
Accountable for the training and development of pharmacy staff, assessing personnel requirements, delegating tasks, ensuring timely completion, interpreting and enforcing organizational policies.
Utilizes experience and professional judgment to plan and achieve assigned objectives.Job Summary:
Ensures the implementation and compliance with the Kinney Standard of Practice, delivering top-tier health care services to our clientele.
Manages the overall operations of the Pharmacy Department.Core Duties:
Ensures compliance with the Kinney Standard of Practice for prescription dispensing and patient counseling.
Responsible for executing all quality assurance measures to guarantee accurate prescription dispensing. Reports any dispensing incidents promptly, adhering to company protocols.
Ensures compliance with all State and Federal regulations governing pharmacy practice.
Oversees the initial submission, resubmission, and collection of all third-party claims.
Manages and balances pharmacy inventory to optimize turnover while ensuring stock availability for customer needs.
Responsible for checking pharmacy inventory for expiration dates and managing returns.
Ensures that prescription files and other manual records are maintained in accordance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
Maximizes the use of in-store pharmacy technology to ensure a high return on investment and longevity of the technology.
Ensures exceptional customer service is provided by all staff at all times.
Ensures adherence to all loss prevention policies by employees and reports any deviations to Loss Prevention.
Assists in executing all corporate pharmacy marketing, advertising, and promotional initiatives.
Oversees the maintenance of the pharmacy department to ensure a clean, professional environment that safeguards customer and employee safety.
Develops and maintains professional relationships with healthcare providers and other professionals in the health services sector.
Stays informed about advancements in the Pharmacy and Health Care Services fields relevant to job responsibilities and integrates them into practice.
Maintains confidentiality regarding all patient information.
Facilitates communication between pharmacy personnel and professional staff.
Assists in creating an annual operating budget for the pharmacy department and operates within budgetary constraints.
Collaborates with the Store Manager on hiring practices, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions for pharmacy staff.
Responsible for training and developing all pharmacy department staff to perform their duties effectively, including the Kinney Pharmacy Clerk and Technician Training Program.
Assists in communicating corporate objectives to all pharmacy department personnel.
Participates in all required training and management programs as requested by the Supervisor.
Interacts with various auditors and external agencies as necessary.
Ensures compliance with all state and federal regulations and requirements.
Completes all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Minimum:
BS or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy. Experience:
Must possess and maintain a valid State License and current registration to practice Pharmacy.
Ability to stand and walk for the majority of a shift.
Certified immunizer.
Previous experience as a Pharmacist.
Special Conditions of Employment:
Drug test.
Initial and ongoing exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoring.
Any additional eligibility requirements based on the specific position.
Compensation:
