As a Pharmacy Operations Manager specializing in Kidney Transplant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.
Our Pharmacy Department is integral to the senior leadership team, ensuring that pharmacy expertise is embedded in the strategic planning of our healthcare services.
With a diverse and dedicated pharmacy team, we are committed to enhancing patient care through collaborative efforts.
In this position, you will collaborate closely with the Lead Pharmacy Operations Manager, fellow Pharmacy Managers, and Operational Managers to establish and maintain high-quality patient care services.
Your responsibilities will include providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients, working in partnership with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
The Pharmacy Operations Manager will engage in direct patient care and contribute to educational and research initiatives aimed at optimizing patient outcomes.
You will maintain a collaborative relationship with the Kidney Transplant services by participating in patient care rounds and joint projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and address specific patient issues while promoting evidence-based medication use on an individual basis.
- Provide drug information to healthcare providers involved in the care of patients within the Kidney Transplant Service.
- Report adverse drug reactions for patients under your care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary committees to enhance patient care.
- Facilitate patient education and transitions of care.
- Develop, implement, and manage continuous quality improvement initiatives and cost-reduction programs related to patient care.
Examples of Initiatives:
- Conduct medication use evaluations.
- Establish treatment protocols and guidelines.
- Develop clinical pathways.
- Oversee other initiatives that align with these objectives.
The Pharmacy Operations Manager will serve as a member or secretary of multidisciplinary committees, tasked with overseeing and developing policies for patient care.
Additionally, you will provide training and educational programs for pharmacy students and healthcare providers at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.
Assist in budget forecasting for pharmaceuticals, leveraging knowledge of ongoing research and current consumption trends.
Preferred Qualifications:- Completion of a PGY2 Residency in Solid Organ Transplant.
- 1-3 years of experience as a clinical pharmacist.
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD.
- New York State Pharmacy License or eligibility to obtain within three months.

Salary Range:
$152,000-$199,200/Annual
