The Senior Industrial Engineer in the automotive sector is responsible for planning and supervising the arrangement of equipment, office space, and production facilities. Key responsibilities include:


• Conducting operational studies to enhance workflow and optimize spatial utilization.


• Ensuring workplace efficiency and safety standards are met.


• Performing analyses on cycle times and identifying bottlenecks.


• Developing and refining work methodologies.


• Collaborating with functional and operational managers to boost productivity, quality, and throughput. Supporting World Class Manufacturing (WCM) initiatives, particularly in Workplace Organization (WO) and Logistics (LO) pillars.


• Assisting the Industrial Engineering Manager with various IE and WCM projects and assignments.


• Managing manpower planning, leveling, and adjustments in accordance with assembly plant volume changes.


• Conducting studies on Direct Labor, Indirect Labor, and Ergonomics.


• Engaging with production management and union representatives daily regarding staffing needs and IE activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Industrial Engineering within automotive assembly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience with time and motion studies, as well as the development of standardized work and data.
  • Capability to apply robust principles and analytical techniques for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
  • Practical knowledge of traditional lean manufacturing systems.
  • Familiarity with MODAPTS.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all organizational levels, from shop floor personnel to management.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
