Jupiter Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Lead Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless patient access to our world-class medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Registration and Insurance Verification: Obtain demographic, insurance, and medical information to ensure accurate and complete registration.
  • Data Collection and Documentation: Perform insurance verification, data collection, and documentation to support patient care.
  • Medical Necessity Determination: Determine medical necessity for services based on established medical criteria.
  • Financial Responsibility Identification: Identify patient financial responsibilities and collect applicable monies.
  • Liaison and Communication: Act as liaison to all internal and external customers to facilitate access to hospital services.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Provide guidance to Patient Access staff, make assignments, and ensure smooth departmental operations.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent, plus three to four years of specialized training in a healthcare setting.
  • Minimal 2 years of experience with hospital insurance plans, including Medicare, Medicaid, HMOs, and PPOs.
  • Excellent typing and computer skills, with familiarity with area managed care plans and contractual terms.
  • Ability to self-direct, exercise independent judgment, and work under stressful situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
