Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Training Administrator 2 to join our team at Homeward Bound. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing on-the-job training to field staff and supervisors, ensuring staff complete training and submit required documents by applicable deadlines, and conducting orientation sessions and arranging on-the-job training for new hires.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide field training to direct care, nursing, and supervisory staff.
  • Ensure staff complete on-the-job training and submit all required documents by applicable deadlines.
  • Provide CPR and First Aid training classes.
  • Conduct orientation sessions and arrange on-the-job training for new hires, as needed.
  • Train supervisors in techniques and skills for training employees.
  • Confer with management and field staff to identify training needs; communicate those needs to the Director of Training.
  • Maintain recordkeeping systems for staff training and development.
  • Maintain working knowledge of 245(d), ICF, and MDH training requirements.
  • Attend meetings and trainings as required.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Training.
Requirements
  • Two years of direct care experience in the disabilities/health care field required.
  • Obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Instructor Certification.
  • Experience providing training to direct care staff preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job.
  • Ability to pass the criminal background screening and maintain clearance.
