Patient Care Technician

Fresenius Medical Care North America is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team. As a key member of our hemodialysis healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to all external and internal customers, ensuring a positive experience for patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, provide emotional support, and promote independence and self-care.
- Technical Skills: Operate hemodialysis machines, perform vascular access cannulation, and administer heparin as delegated or allowed by state law.
- Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document patient information, vital signs, and treatment parameters on the Hemodialysis Treatment Sheet and other relevant records.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care, communicate effectively, and respond to patient needs in a timely manner.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; certification in hemodialysis technology or related field preferred.
- Experience: Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
