Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Claims Assistant to join our team at the City of San Antonio Texas. As a Claims Assistant, you will provide critical support to the Claims Section in the Office of Risk Management, assisting with the processing and administration of claims information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the processing and administration of claims information, including claims documentation and data entry.
  • Provide claims support to the Claims Section, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the Claims Manager to ensure accurate and efficient claims processing.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of claims information, including claims status and resolution.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in claims administration or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
