About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Roundy's, Inc. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer vaccinations and medications to patients, ensuring accurate dosing and administration.
  • Provide patient education on medication use, side effects, and potential interactions.
  • Assist pharmacists with medication dispensing, including filling prescriptions and processing medication returns.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication lists and allergy information.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on medication updates and best practices.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program and certification (if applicable).
  • Active enrollment in American Heart Association Basic Life Support course.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a related healthcare role.
  • Knowledge of medication administration and patient care principles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
