Job Summary:

As a Home Lead Pharmacy Technician in our Triage team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services. Your primary responsibility will be to lead and support our team of pharmacy technicians in providing exceptional patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interact with caregivers, patients, and family members in a positive and professional manner to build strong relationships and ensure patient satisfaction.
• Problem solve and assist customers to meet or exceed patient needs and safety, working closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Interact with customers, physicians, clinic staff, and facility staff professionally, providing excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Gather and process patient information to properly manage prescriptions, including accurate entry of patient data into pharmacy software programs.
• Maintain accurate records of medication and equipment dispensed to patients, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Ensure accurate entry of patient data into pharmacy software programs, including insurance information and claims adjudication.
• Interact with coworkers, pharmacists, and vendors to resolve discrepancies and improve processes, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Secure protected health information and required paperwork, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Process customer payments for prescriptions and charges on account, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain sufficient prescription inventory levels, ordering products and supplies as needed to ensure seamless operation of the pharmacy.
• Receive and store incoming products and supplies, including counting, stocking, and entering computer data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Pharmacy Technician with 2+ years of experience, with a strong background in customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with electronic pharmacy programs and experience supporting customers over the phone, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to problem solve and think critically, with a solutions-oriented mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Must register with the State of Wisconsin as a Pharmacy Technician, with a valid license and certification.
