Job Overview

Tec Group Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in implementing designs in both 2D and 3D environments, working closely with project teams, project managers, and clients to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical design utilizing various engineering software, including Revit and BIM 360.
  • Select and specify mechanical equipment and devices, ensuring compliance with State and local Building Codes.
  • Perform submittal and shop drawing reviews, ensuring accurate and timely responses to RFI's.
  • Document changes and clarifications to scope, schedule, and budget, advising project teams accordingly.
  • Review data and prepare recommendations, summaries, and cost estimates for consideration by senior engineers and/or managers.
  • Write technical reports to document engineering analysis and findings.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for proposed equipment and systems, ensuring innovative solutions to design problems.
  • Assist senior engineer(s) in reviewing design and development plans and/or cost estimates.
  • Evaluate engineering solutions, equipment, and specifications, ensuring quality assurance procedures are implemented during the design process.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-6 years of experience working as a Mechanical Engineer.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) Certification preferred.
  • LEED Accreditation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Revit, BIM 360, and Trace 700.
  • Strong knowledge of State and local Building Codes.
  • General knowledge of contract and construction documents.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with multiple project deadlines.
