Job Summary:

Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking a highly experienced Systems Engineer to lead the Mission Processing Element, a software development team supporting a new Ground program. As a key member of the Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit, you will be responsible for leading a large team of engineers to develop, test, and deploy a software system, verifying and validating requirements for a Ground Segment, and supporting program leadership and the customer to define and maintain the technical baseline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a large team of engineers to develop, test, and deploy a software system.
  • Verify and validate requirements for a Ground Segment.
  • Support program leadership and the customer to define and maintain the technical baseline.
  • Ensure the program is synchronized and meets its milestones.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and a minimum of 14 years of relevant experience; Masters with 12 years of relevant experience; or 9 years of relevant experience with a PhD.
  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application.
  • Must be willing to submit to a polygraph.
  • Experienced in leading large, geographically dispersed teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Experience with Agile development.
  • Experience with effectively managing, communicating, and presenting technical roadmaps and technical subjects to project and program management, other technical managers, and customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with space vehicle ground segment design.
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) languages (SysML/UML) and concepts.
  • Familiarity with Cameo.
  • Experience with Cloud technologies.
  • Experience with requirements verification.

Northrop Grumman offers a competitive salary range of $150,000 - $236,300, as well as a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
