We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Inspector to join our team at Corporate Environmental Risk Management (CERM). As a Construction Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor field activities of assigned subcontractors and report on progress of the work for assigned contractors.
  • Assist in identification and verification of any required remediation activities for non-conforming work.
  • Assist with data recording through daily reports and job site photos, weekly and monthly status reports.
  • Review look-ahead schedules with Contractors staff, PM, and others to determine upcoming work activities, testing/inspection requirements, equipment needs, coordination requirements, etc.
  • Notify PM of any observed out-of-sequence activities, issues of concern, quality issues, etc., and provide recommendations for reconciliation and/or correction.
  • Coordinate as-built drawings for the duration of the project.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience inspecting roadway construction.
  • Valid Florida Driver's License required (or able to obtain within 6 months) and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets company policy.
  • FDOT Construction Quality Training Program (CQTP) Certification required or able to obtain within 6 months of hire.

Working Conditions:

Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. Travel, evening, night, weekend, and holiday hours may be required.
