Position Overview

The Structural CAD Technician will be responsible for producing and refining CAD drawings related to engineering initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of CAD standards and the ability to work collaboratively within a team of engineers and drafters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, revise, and enhance CAD drawings for various engineering projects.
  • Implement Westwood's CAD standards while creating and adjusting drawings.
  • Engage with engineers and fellow drafters to ensure cohesive project execution.
  • Manage the organization, storage, and retrieval of project drawings and documentation.
  • Adhere to project timelines and quality standards with precision and efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough self-reviews of all work to guarantee accuracy before internal assessments.
  • Contribute actively to the successful delivery of projects.
  • Provide necessary support across departments as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical certification or degree in AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with the latest AutoCAD software is preferred.
  • Experience in drafting structural steel and concrete designs is advantageous.
  • Detail-oriented, self-driven, and committed to quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
