Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide top-notch customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support the sales process by assisting customers with purchases, answering product questions, and promoting products and services.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor, stockroom, and outdoor areas.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card transactions, and returns.
  • Participate in visual merchandising and inventory management, ensuring that products are displayed attractively and that stock levels are maintained.
  • Assist with receiving and stocking merchandise, including unloading trucks and processing inventory.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, including opening and closing procedures, and maintaining store equipment and facilities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • No prior experience required, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
  • Ability to read, write, and count accurately.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software.

Working Conditions

  • Work in a fast-paced retail environment with moderate noise levels.
  • Stand for long periods, move throughout the store, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally lift or reach overhead, and frequently bend, stoop, and climb ladders.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to move and transfer merchandise, weighing up to 50 pounds, throughout the store.
  • Ability to push and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with the assistance of proper material handling equipment.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or reach merchandise overhead.
  • Ability to frequently stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders.
  • Ability to move throughout the store for an entire shift.
  • Ability to safely access all areas of the store, including the sales floor, stockroom, and outdoor areas.
