Job Title

Aegis Worldwide is seeking a highly skilled Chemical Quality Assurance Director to lead and oversee all quality assurance and control functions at our chemical manufacturing facility.

About the Role

This position involves implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the Quality Management System (QMS) while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a quality management role within chemical manufacturing or a related industry.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management:

  • Oversee the plant's ISO 9001-certified Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Develop and implement quality policies, procedures, and standards to maintain high product and process integrity.
  • Monitor and measure quality metrics, identify trends, and develop action plans for improvement.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor the quality team, including quality engineers, technicians, and inspectors.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on quality standards, tools, and practices.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness throughout the organization.

Process Control and Improvement:

  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to establish and maintain process controls.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions (CAPA) to resolve quality issues.
  • Champion Lean Six Sigma and other process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce variability.

Customer and Supplier Quality:

  • Act as the primary quality liaison with customers, addressing concerns, audits, and inquiries.
  • Manage supplier quality assurance programs, including supplier audits and material inspections.
  • Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances, providing timely resolutions and reports.

Compliance and Audits:

  • Plan and coordinate internal and external audits, including ISO 9001 surveillance audits.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Maintain documentation and records to demonstrate compliance with QMS standards.
Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Proficiency in quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, and CAPA is also required.
