Job Overview

Aegis Worldwide seeks an experienced Chemical Manufacturing Quality Assurance Director to lead the development and implementation of quality management systems ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

Quality Management

  • Develop and maintain a robust quality management system (QMS) aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement quality policies, procedures, and standards to ensure high product and process integrity.
  • Maintain records and metrics to demonstrate QMS effectiveness.

Leadership and Team Management

  • Lead and mentor a team of quality engineers, technicians, and inspectors in maintaining quality standards.
  • Provide training and guidance on quality tools, methodologies, and industry standards.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.

Process Control and Improvement

  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to establish process controls.
  • Investigate quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions (CAPA).
  • Champion Lean Six Sigma initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce variability.

Customer and Supplier Quality

  • Act as primary quality liaison with customers addressing concerns, audits, and inquiries.
  • Manage supplier quality assurance programs, including supplier audits and material inspections.
  • Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances, providing timely resolutions and reports.

Compliance and Audits

  • Plan and coordinate internal and external audits, including ISO 9001 surveillance audits.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Maintain documentation and records to demonstrate compliance with QMS standards.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Quality Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years' experience in quality management within chemical manufacturing or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and auditing principles.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, and CAPA.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
