Maintenance Manager Job Description

Altium Packaging LLC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team and ensure the proper functioning of our hydraulic electrical equipment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for making decisions regarding equipment maintenance, leading a team of mechanical and electrical personnel, and implementing preventative and routine maintenance activities to minimize machine downtime.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and lead a team of mechanical and electrical personnel in the execution of safe and effective maintenance procedures.
  • Develop and implement a maintenance program that incorporates both preventative and routine maintenance activities.
  • Lead mechanical staff in repairs or rebuilds of equipment as needed to avoid breakdowns.
  • Train and develop maintenance team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Troubleshoot and identify equipment problems and solutions.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and ensure that equipment is properly maintained to meet production schedules and quality standards.
  • Establish goals and objectives for the maintenance department that are aligned with plant and business goals.
  • Accountable for improving equipment availability and advancing preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Efficiently utilize maintenance technicians and equipment, and advance planning and scheduling processes.
  • Initiate and drive improvements through training programs, capital projects, and other means available.
  • Analyze maintenance problems and devise corrective action plans.
  • Develop and maintain parts inventory systems to ensure control and proper levels of spare parts.
  • Evaluate employee performance to determine training needs and development opportunities.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience as a plant-wide Maintenance Manager.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
  • Injection molding or foaming experience preferred.
  • PLC experience a plus.
