Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of food safety and quality in our products. This includes developing and implementing a Food Safety Plan using SQF fundamentals, ensuring compliance with government regulations, and coordinating plant inspection activities with regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a Food Safety Plan using SQF fundamentals
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations, including FDA (FSMA) regulations
  • Coordinate plant inspection activities with regulatory agencies
  • Support Food Safety Plans and develop effective food safety programs, including HACCP, Pre-requisites, SQF, and Gluten-Free (if applicable)
  • Develop and maintain documentation files on HACCP deviations, corrective actions, and outcomes
  • Provide leadership and training on food safety and quality practices
Requirements
  • Five (5) or more years of related experience in the food manufacturing industry
  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local food regulations, including CFR, FSMA, USDA, and Bioterrorism Act
Preferred Qualifications
  • HACCP (three-day course) certification
  • SQF Practitioner certification
  • FSMA (Food Safety Preventive Controls) certification
  • Trained in Internal Auditing and Food Defense/Fraud
  • Sanitary Transportation certification
