Animal Health Assistant

Our company operates over 450 hospitals across multiple states and employs over 11,000 people, including over 800 veterinarians. We prioritize developing partnerships between our hospitals and providing the highest quality medicine and service.
Job Description
This role is responsible for providing comprehensive support to our veterinary team, ensuring the well-being and comfort of our patients. Key duties include:
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment, preparing and sanitizing surgery suites, and assisting with patient restraint
- Feeding, exercising, and grooming animals, as well as monitoring their behavior and health
- Maintaining accurate medical records and communicating effectively with clients and staff
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Vet Tech (VTNE) Certification preferred
- 1+ years of experience in a veterinary environment; knowledge of hospital procedures, policies, and services
- Ability to restrain animals, fill prescriptions, and monitor sedation procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Work Environment: This position requires flexibility with scheduling and the ability to work some weekends and holidays. Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation, standing, walking, lifting, or carrying moderately heavy animals (up to 50 pounds).
