Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist I to join our team at Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital. As a Surgical Technologist I, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating room.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room, including the setup and breakdown of equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain a sterile environment and ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are available for each procedure.
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures, including positioning patients and handling instruments.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Surgical Technician Certification preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Working Conditions

  • May be required to lift, move, and load 30 to 50 pounds.
  • Alternate shift schedules, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
