Job Summary:
The Middle School Pastor will oversee all aspects of the Middle School Ministry, including weekly services, events, and student discipleship. In this role, they will provide spiritual leadership and pastoral care along with professional administrative support while working under the direction of the Location Students Pastor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and organize services, events, and teachings/trainings for the Middle School Ministry
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Students Ministry and collaborate with the Radiant Students Team across Locations
- Coordinate and conduct weekly Monday Night Prayer meetings and Student Leadership
- Complete projects and special assignments by establishing objectives, determining priorities, managing time, monitoring progress, and problem-solving
- Record attendance from services and update the youth database regularly
- Coordinate youth events, conferences, mission trips, and other special events as directed or delegated
- Provide weekly discipleship for students and volunteer leaders
- Manage all youth financials, including budgets, sponsorships, payments, deposits, and following all guidelines of the Business Office
- Answer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties or take messages
- Manage and input all approved production elements and data for weekly services
- Coordinate all aspects of the Radiant Students Wednesday Night services, including setup, teardown, scheduling, training, and recruiting volunteers, inputting weekly attendance, and following up with guests
- Oversee, schedule, and develop the Students Ministry Volunteer Team
General Pastoral Job Responsibilities:
- Equip people to do the work of the ministry
- Serve within the pastoral on-call rotation, which includes hospital visits, benevolence, and involving your ministry influence
- Provide pastoral care for church members, baptisms, communion, and teaching
- Conduct weddings and life celebrations/funerals, providing appropriate preparation and support
- Continue personal growth through spiritual disciplines and study
Requirements:
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Able to adapt under pressure and to quickly and creatively handle problems as they arise with a positive attitude
- Self-starter who takes initiative
- Excellent customer service, organizational, and time management skills
- Proficient in meeting task deadlines and project timeline requirements
- Attention to detail with an eye for excellence
- Respond in a timely manner (within 24 hours) to all ministry-related inquiries
- Able to delegate tasks
- Mac OS experience preferred but not required
- Valid driver's license required
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of related work experience
- Associates degree preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
- Must be able to remain standing/sitting for long periods of time
- Must be able to bend and twist at the waist
