Job Overview:

The role requires adherence to instructions and a solid understanding of custodial equipment, materials, and techniques necessary for maintaining facilities. Candidates must possess the physical strength, agility, and dexterity to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of community centers.
  2. Sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies as necessary.
  3. Manage inventory of custodial supplies.
  4. Regularly empty trash and ensure surfaces are tidy and dust-free.
  5. Secure buildings nightly by locking doors and closing windows.
  6. Perform additional tasks as assigned, including window cleaning and minor repairs.
  7. Assist with scheduled events while paying close attention to detail.
  8. Report any issues to the Division Manager.

Preferred Qualifications:

High school diploma or G.E.D. is preferred. A minimum of one year of experience in custodial services is desirable. Candidates should be able to comprehend and follow both verbal and written instructions in English.

Availability to work evenings and weekends is required. A valid Mississippi Driver's License must be maintained. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues.

Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
