Cytologist II

WakeMed is looking for a dedicated Cytologist II to undertake specialized responsibilities in examining slides of clinical samples to identify signs of cancer or other pathological issues. The successful candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of cell structure, the alterations in cells linked to various conditions, and the quality assurance of specimen handling.

Key Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Clinical Laboratory setting
  • Bachelor's Degree in Cytotechnology or a related scientific field
  • Certification as a Cytotechnologist
Work Schedule: As required
Weekend Availability: No weekend shifts
On-Call Duties: None required
