HR Support Specialist

This is a temporary role with an expected assignment duration of approximately four months.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide support for daily human resource operations, ensuring the integrity of data and record-keeping. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing routine Human Resources inquiries, providing responsive and knowledgeable assistance to employees, and ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with higher education preferred. A minimum of six months of experience in Human Resources or a similar setting is required, with excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality is also essential.
Main Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter and/or retrieve information from various computerized systems and/or programs in a timely manner.
- Process employee transcripts and perform data entry tasks efficiently.
- Stay organized, follow guidelines, and multitask in a professional and effective manner.
- Handle routine Human Resources inquiries, providing high levels of service, responsiveness, and knowledgeable support for employees and their supervisors.
- Maintain Human Resources information databases to ensure accuracy, currentness, and reliability.
Reports and Correspondence:
- Fulfill records requests promptly and accurately.
- Prepare correspondence, forms, and reports according to district standards and requirements.
Other Key Responsibilities:
- Answer and respond to emails and incoming calls in a professional manner.
- Assist employees and applicants in completing applications and required paperwork.
- Maintain confidentiality and operate with high levels of proficiency.
- Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
- Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment, including personal computers and peripherals, as well as imaging equipment.
- Posture: Frequent walking, standing, bending/stooping, and reaching; occasional pushing/pulling, and twisting.
- Motion: Repetitive hand motions, including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching.
- Lifting: Occasional light to moderate lifting and carrying (less than 44 pounds).
- Environment: 100% onsite work environment with possible prolonged or irregular hours.
Estimated Salary Range: $35,000 - $45,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
