Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join our team at Marion Health. As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for organizing and administering speech and language pathology treatment modalities as prescribed by a referring physician. Your primary goal will be to evaluate, plan, direct, and treat patients referred for speech and language pathology treatments to restore function and prevent disability following disease or injury.

Key Responsibilities:

* Evaluate patients to determine the nature and extent of their speech and language disorders
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patients' speech and language needs
* Administer and interpret results of standardized tests and assessments to evaluate patients' speech and language skills
* Provide direct treatment to patients, including individual and group therapy sessions
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients

Requirements:

* Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
* Current license to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Indiana
* CPR certification
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work well under stress and prioritize tasks effectively

Working Conditions:

* Typical hospital clinical environment with frequent standing and walking
* Work may be subject to interruptions and occasional high stress levels
* Risk for occupational exposure to blood, body fluid, and other potentially infectious hazards

Physical and Mental Activities, Tools, and Equipment:

* Standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling to provide patient care and utilize patient care devices
* Uses computers and other standard office equipment and lifting supplies and equipment typically found in clinical patient care areas
