Job Summary

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at American Family Care, you will play a vital role in assisting physicians in diagnosing injuries and diseases by performing radiographic and other diagnostic imaging procedures. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Greet patients and explain procedures in a compassionate manner, positioning them appropriately for diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Diagnostic Imaging: Practice ALARA radiation protection techniques, process images, review for proper identification and quality control, and prepare images for reading by a physician and radiologist overreads.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Utilize digital and non-digital diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring compliance with approved radiology techniques and policies, and perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs.
  • Administrative Support: Complete forms and maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed, and serve as a Medical Receptionist and/or Medical Assistant as needed.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need an Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one-year related experience and/or training. ARRT-registered or board eligible is preferred, and you must be licensed per state regulation.
