Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide professional nursing care to patients undergoing labor and delivery, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards of care, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care that reflect assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, ensuring they understand their care and treatment options.
  • Monitor patient progress, revising plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of recent experience in Labor and Delivery or successful completion of a KP L&D course.
  • Registered Nurse License (California)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program
  • Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certificate within 12 months of hire
