Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Engineer to join our team at our Lockport, New York facility. As a Product Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing AC compressor components, working closely with design personnel to ensure high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop AC compressor components, collaborating with design personnel to achieve optimal results.
  • Author and maintain engineering specifications for components and assemblies, ensuring compliance with manufacturing facilities' requirements.
  • Apply creative, diagnostic, and innovative problem-solving skills to address engineering challenges.
  • Utilize DFMEA/PFMEA processes to provide robust designs prior to mass production.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, and specify Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) for precision products.
  • Assist with test unit preparation and execution, analyzing test data and organizing results relative to internal or customer specifications.
  • Apply engineering practices to reach design solutions, participating in innovation, product cost, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing plants to ensure product design for high value and manufacturability.
Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 5+ years' experience in precision products development.
  • Strong understanding of principles of statics, dynamics, mechanics of materials, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, strengths of materials, thermodynamics, physics (mechanical and electrical), and engineering design.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts efficiently.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
